- NGAI follows a policy where all certified teaching professionals must continuously attend seminars / course and refresh their knowledge. This is important as it keeps you in touch with the new teaching techniques and technologies and keeps you up to date as a teacher.
- All NGAI class A teaching professionals must attend at least one National Refresher every two years in order to maintain their current level of NGAI certification. If an A Class teaching professional does not attend a CEC in a space of two years, he / she shall lose his / her standing as A class teaching professional and his / her teaching license shall not be renewed.
- All NGAI class B / C / D teaching professionals must attend at least one CEC program every year in order to maintain their current level of NGAI certification or if they want to upgrade to the next level of certification. If a teaching professional does not attend a CEC in a given year, he / she shall lose his / her standing as a B / C / D class teaching professional and his / her teaching license shall not be renewed.
- A teaching professional can attend any one of these CEC programs run by the IGU / NGAI:
- TPI Seminars
- Trackman Seminar
- Harold Swash Putting School
- Course held by Donato Di Ponziano / David Kearney / any other visiting professional conducting a course in India under the IGU / NGAI
- A teaching professional may also travel overseas to attend a course conducted by a PGA Master certified professional – certificate to be submitted as proof.
- NGAI Zonal or National Refresher Courses.
- Attend any other recognised certification course in club fitting / bio mechanics / teaching techniques / physics of golf etc (certificate must be submitted). This can be done anywhere in the world or online.
- If a Teaching Professional wishes to attend a non-NGAI Course and want it to be counted as a Refresher Course, he/she must submit an application with all details of the course to NGAI before attending and request for approval for it to be counted as a Refresher Course. NGAI shall evaluate all requests and give a decision accordingly.
